Avoid people who have volatile moods or engage in self-destructive behaviors such as binge drinking, display unstable mental behaviors or drug abuse. Choose friends who like you for who you are; stay far from those who would only associate with you if you submit to peer pressure.

If you have personal problems, don’t drown your emotions with drugs or alcohol; you’d be running away from your problems, not solving them. Also, don’t take them out on innocent people. Talk to a family member or a close friend to brainstorm solutions. Seek professional help if necessary.
